Product Description

The ball mill is a key piece of grinding equipment widely used in mineral processing, cement production, power generation, chemical, and ceramic industries. It is designed to crush and grind materials into fine powder by utilizing the impact, friction, and grinding action of steel balls or other grinding media within a rotating cylindrical shell. With adjustable fineness control from 20 mesh to 400 mesh, this versatile machine accommodates both dry and wet grinding processes, making it suitable for various industrial applications.

Product Description

Working Principle

Loading Stage: Raw materials are fed into the cylindrical shell through a hollow shaft at one end. The shell is filled with grinding media (typically steel balls of different diameters, accounting for 25-45% of the shell volume).

Grinding Stage: Driven by a motor and gear reducer, the cylindrical shell rotates at 70-80% of its critical speed. This motion causes the grinding media to be lifted by centrifugal force and friction along the shell wall, then fall back in a parabolic trajectory, creating repeated impact and grinding effects on the materials.

Discharging Stage: After reaching the required fineness, the ground material is discharged through a grate plate or overflow device at the other end of the shell. Different discharge methods classify ball mills into grate discharge type and overflow discharge type.
