The jaw crusher, also known as the jaw crusher, is mainly used for medium particle size crushing of various ores and bulk materials. It is widely used in industries such as mining, smelting, building materials, highways, railways, water conservancy, and chemical engineering. The high compressive strength of the crushed material can reach up to 320MPa. The performance characteristics are high crushing ratio, uniform product particle size, simple structure, reliable performance, easy maintenance, and low operating costs.
Gyratory crusher is a large-sized crushing machine which is used to crush rocks and ores coarsely with different hardness. A gyratory crusher is one of the main types of primary crushers in a mine or ore processing plant,which is similar in basic concept to a jaw crusher. Gyratory crushers can be used for primary or secondary crushing. The crushing action is caused by the closing of the gap between the mantle line (movable) mounted on the central vertical spindle and the concave liners mounted on the main frame of the crusher. The gap is opened and closed by an eccentric on the bottom of the spindle that causes the central vertical spindle to gyrate. The vertical spindle is free to rotate around its own axis. The crusher illustrated is ashort-shaft suspended spindle type, meaning that the main shaft is suspended at the top and that the eccentric is mounted above the gear. The short-shaft design has superseded the long-shaft design in which the eccentric is mounted below the gear.
Application of Jaw Crusher:
Jaw Crusher is widely used in mineral, quarry, building materials, road, railway, water conservancy and hydropower. The angle between the fixed jaw and movable jaw becomes smaller. The movable jaw plate leaves the fixed jaw plate under the effection of drawbar and spring, and then the crushed materials are discharged from the lower outlet of the crushing cavity.

Working Principle of jaw crusher:
The motor transmits power through belt, drives the moving jaw to do periodic motion towards the fixed jaw by the eccentric shaft.
The angle between toggle plate and moving jaw plate increases when moving jaw moves. So the moving jaw moves towards the fixed jaw. The stuff will be crushed in this process. The angle between toggle plate and moving jaw decreases when moving jaw moves down, the moving jaw moves leaves fixed jaw by pulling rod and spring, the final crushed stuff will be discharged from the outlet.
The movable jaw is suspended on the spindle and can swing left and right. When the eccentric shaft rotates, the connecting rod moves up and down, driving the two thrust plates to also move back and forth, thereby pushing the moving jaw to move left and right, achieving crushing and unloading. This type of crusher adopts a crank double link mechanism. Although the moving jaw is subjected to a large crushing reaction force, its eccentric shaft and connecting rod are not subjected to much force. Therefore, in industry, large and medium-sized machines are often made to crush hard materials. In addition, when this type of crusher works, the motion trajectory of each point on the moving jaw is an arc centered on the center axis, and the arc radius is equal to the distance from the point to the axis. The upper end arc is small, while the lower end arc is large, resulting in low crushing efficiency. Its crushing ratio is generally 3-6. Due to the simple motion trajectory, it is called a simple swinging jaw crusher.
